Tara completed her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy at Australian Catholic University and joined the BillyLids team after being introduced by her university classmate, Charli. After hearing about BillyLids’ collaborative, family-centred approach, Tara knew it was a team she wanted to be part of.
Tara has a particular interest in sensory-motor development and loves using child-led play to help children build the skills they need for everyday life. Whether she’s climbing over crash mats, swinging on Lycra mats, bouncing on peanut balls or zooming around on scooter boards, Tara enjoys creating therapy sessions that are active, engaging and full of fun. Through play, she helps children develop body awareness, coordination and confidence, supporting greater participation in everyday activities at home, school and in the community.
Tara values building strong relationships with children and their families and believes the best therapy happens when children feel safe, motivated and empowered to explore their world through play.
Outside of work, Tara enjoys keeping active through Parkrun and swimming. She’s also a self-confessed foodie who loves discovering new cafés and restaurants with family and friends.
