Michaela joined the BillyLids Norman Park team in 2026 after graduating from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2025. From early in her studies, she felt drawn to paediatrics and quickly discovered her passion for supporting children and their families. She values a holistic, child-centred approach and is dedicated to helping children participate in the activities that matter most to them, whilst working collaboratively with families to achieve meaningful goals.
Michaela has gained experience across paediatrics, rehabilitation and acute hospital settings, alongside roles in disability support work, babysitting and allied health administration. She recently completed a rehabilitation traineeship, further developing her skills in assessment, intervention planning and multidisciplinary teamwork. Her clinical interests include social skills development, sensory exploration, and emotional regulation. Michaela loves helping children build confidence and celebrate every achievement, big or small.
Michaela’s favourite part of her role is connecting with children through play, especially using the Lycra swing in the sensory gym. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, reading, baking, beach trips, and spending time with family, friends and her two Labradoodles.
